ADULTS
Influenza
and Pneumococcal (pneumonia) Vaccination
In accordance with Department
of Health guidelines, we recommend yearly influenza vaccinations to
the following patients:
• Those who are 65 years and over. •
Those with chronic heart disease. • Those with lung disease. •
Those with kidney disease. • Those with diabetes. •
Nursing home residents. • Those with immune deficiency.
It
is also recommended that these patients also receive the pneumococcal
vaccination. These vaccinations are usually given in September / October.
